What is softnode? +
Softnode is a managed hosting platform for open-source tools like Wiki.js, n8n, and Uptime Kuma. You get a fully working app in seconds — no servers to manage, no terminal, no configuration. Everything runs from one panel.
Do I need technical knowledge? +
Not at all. If you can use a web browser, you can use softnode. Click deploy, pick a subdomain, and your app is live. No SSH, no Docker, no config files.
Where is my data hosted? +
By default, data is hosted on servers in the EU. For some services like n8n, you can choose your preferred server location. Your instances run on dedicated infrastructure — your data is never shared with other users.
What apps are available? +
Wiki.js is available now — a powerful documentation and knowledge base platform. n8n (workflow automation) and Uptime Kuma (monitoring) are coming soon. More apps will follow.
Can I use my own domain? +
Yes. Each app gets a subdomain on softnode.cloud by default (e.g. my-docs.softnode.cloud). You can also connect your own custom domain with a simple CNAME record.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan? +
You can upgrade at any time — changes take effect immediately and billing is prorated. Downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period.
How much does it cost? +
Pricing depends on the app and plan you choose. Every plan includes storage, backups, and SSL — no hidden fees. Check the pricing details on each app's page: Wiki.js, n8n, or Uptime Kuma.
Is there a free trial? +
Yes! You can deploy any app for free — it runs for 7 days so you can test everything. No credit card required. After 7 days the instance is automatically removed. When you're ready, upgrade to a paid plan to keep it running.
